The Wisdom of Michael Saylor
Bitcoin’s significance in the minds of people and subsequently its place in the world is shifting. It is expanding. My understanding of Bitcoin, and money itself, is expanding. The personal transformation is thanks, in no small part, to discovering The Saylor Series with Robert Breedlove and MicroStrategy co-founder Michael Saylor.
Michael Saylor is brilliant and fascinating to listen to. The amount of information, both technical and philosophical, packed into each episode makes this series extremely valuable, even for newcomers to the crypto-world at large. It is a deep dive into anthropology, energy, and technology- all of which are necessary to see Bitcoin in its broader context. Bitcoin is not just a digital currency; it is an energy network.
“When we started to play with fire, we began to evolve.”
Saylor likens Bitcoin to an elemental force such as fire or water. One of the earliest milestones of humans on the road to humanity as we now know it was mastering the power of fire. Fire is an energy network. It is harnessing energy and directing that energy to serve various purposes of individuals or groups.
“If you can harness fire, maybe you can develop a brain and live long enough to use it”
Elemental forces represent energy that can be channeled to increase efficiency in order to evolve systems.
“Bitcoin is a masterpiece of monetary engineering”
More than just a new and decentralized form of money, Bitcoin is the first store of value where supply is totally unaffected by demand; it is the new most desirable asset. A digital asset that channels human ingenuity faster, harder, stronger than anything before it. Bitcoin isn’t a phase, it’s rapid growth is not a bubble that will burst. It is not K-mart or dutch tulips. It is fire or the concept of zero. It is the winner.
